Three Clippers at Sea

This work has strong dimensional character. The artist has used three ships of different sizes to create this dinensional look, largest at the point of focus in the center, one smaller on the right, then an even smaller ship on the left. It give the person seeing the work a feeling of experience, not just observation. To add to the experience the work is done with strong ocean green waves with lighter tones  for the colors of the ships and very light, nearly white sky. Because of the color selection you see the waves and the center ship first which creates the strong dimensional experience.
